The Nexus offers three ways to search for information on over 450 nonprofit, Northern California, World Affairs Organizations.
(1) ALPHABET-SEARCH
Say, for example, that you would like to get the FAX number for Amnesty International in San Francisco. Simply shift to the alphabet at the top of this page, click on the letter "A," and you will be transported to a list of all the organizations listed on the Nexus whose titles begin with that letter. If you need the telephone number for the Rainforest Action Network, click on the the letter "R" and so-forth.
(2) SUBJECT-SEARCH
Click on the "Subject-Search" link at the top of this page. You will shift to a page on which you can choose from a list of 35 subject-headings (Peace, Democracy, the Environment, Human Rights, etc.) under which we have categorized all of the organizations listed in the Nexus. Some organizations are listed more than once (the Asia Foundation, for example, can be found under both the Asia/Asian Americans and Development headings).
(3) PROFILE-SEARCH
Some of the organizations listed in the Nexus have a detailed profile--an exhaustive summary of their history, programming, membership, target audience, perspective on world politics, legal status, funding sources, and publications. Follow the "Profile Search" link above, and then click on the page (numbered 1 to 9) corresponding to the organization in which you are interested.
