IMMIGRANTS & CITIZENSHIP PROJECT
Program Officer: will assume responsibility for helping guide this work in Marin, with help from a Marin-based Project Liaison. The following are the primary qualifications for the job:
This is a full time job with an initial salary of $22,000-$30,000 depending on experience and need.
An initial two-year commitment is required. Ideally, the job would evolve to include additional responsibilities in other WWWC programs, with commensurate increases in pay.
Program Liaison: The following are the primary quailfications for the job:
- Marin County resident.
- Knowledge of Marin County leadership and organizations, combined with an ability to engage those on many sides of arguments about immigration, diversity, multiculturalism and a common civic culture.
- An understanding of the values, principles, and substance of America's civic culture, and how that common culture makes a diverse civil society possible, along with a mature knowledge of the issues raised by immigration / diversity / community policies, will distinguish the successful applicant.
Hours: flexible -- will amount to, on average, two days a week.
Pay: initially $10,000 consultant income for one year which could evolve into a $30,000 a year full time job with responsibilities beyond Marin.
Commitment: two years desired.
