THE IMMIGRANTS & AMERICAN UNITY SURVEY
Are there clear patterns of response to choices at the core of the immigration debate? Can thoughtful identification of these patterns point the way to useful common ground ahead of present polarization: ground which strengthens a common civic culture that protects ethnic and cultural diversity as well as the common good?
Over the next two months, the Immigrants & Citizenship Project will be conducting an anonymous survey of Marin County, California residents' attitudes on immigration and citizenship issues. The survey reflects ideas we've encountered in our work. Its questions provide an occasion for participants to deepen their own consideration of these ideas.
If you live in Marin County and would like to participate in this effort, please contact Susan Smith at (510) 845-1992. Or, if you live elsewhere but would still like to work through the survey on your own, send us a message with your address and we will be happy to send you a copy.
